Conventional Steel Deck Retrofits
Conventional steel decks are Americans’ preferred roof deck system, resulting in a need for a large variety of roof coverings types to meet each building’s specific needs.
Roof coverings are the least durable member of the roof assembly, with a life expectancy of low sloped roof coverings lasting only 15 to 20 years. An expensive!
Loadmaster has developed a “Roofing Substrate” that extends the life of the conventional roof covering by protecting it from life-ending stresses, and in some cases it more than doubles its performance life over conventional steel roof decks. In one instance, a 15 year specification roof covering applied to a Loadmaster Roof Deck lasted 36 years until a hail storm damaged it beyond repair. Had that not occurred, the roof covering had the potential to easily last 40 years!
Our Substrate for Conventional Steel Decking consists of time-tested Loadmaster Insulation, Duraflex Mineral Boards, and a variety of highly engineered attachment devices installed in U.S. patented restraint patterns. Approved low slope roof coverings are produced by JM, GAF, U. S. Ply, Carlisle and Siplast. They are bid, furnished and installed by licensed & highly trained Loadmaster Dealers and can be jointly guaranteed to perform up to 30 years over Loadmaster.
