Loadmaster is the best choice of roof deck, no matter the roof covering.

Single Ply

Single ply roof coverings require a stress-free environment to ensure its intended level of performance throughout its lifetime. Loadmaster’s roof deck system is designed, engineered, and tested to ensure adhered single ply roof coverings are fully bonded to the top of Loadmaster’s assemblies to protect them from damaging winds and other stresses for decades.

When coupled with Loadmaster’s Terminator System, virtually all membrane stress is either controlled or eliminated. This results in extending the life of the roof covering and delaying recover or replacement costs, saving the building owner tens of thousands of dollars or more!

Modified Bitumen

When bonded to a Loadmaster Roof Assembly, Mod Bit roofing receives the protection it requires to withstand a stressful environment.

During the first installations of Mod Bits over Loadmaster Roof Decks in the  in the late 1980’s, when only coatings were used for surfacing, our roof deck system technology resulted in a 30 year watertight performance life, with the oldest roof reportedly reaching 34 years! When the new white ceramic granule surfacing is combined with the Loadmaster Terminator System, the Mod Bit’s performance life is predicted to exceed that record, possibly even reaching a 40 year performance life!

The Modified Bitumen and Loadmaster combination is a cost saving solution!

Built-Up

Because a Built-up Roof (BUR) is constructed at the job site, it could be subjected to stresses from exposure and workmen errors when installed on a conventional roof deck.

When installed properly over a Loadmaster Roof Deck, a BUR’s performance life improves dramatically. The gravel-topped, 3 ply, 15 year spec BUR roof covering pictured above currently holds the longevity performance record over a Loadmaster Roof Deck. It lasted 36 years until severe damage was accrued during a hail storm, otherwise, the roof covering could have easily lasted 40 years.

The longevity of a Loadmaster Roof Deck saved the building owner approximately $800,000 in roof recover and replacement costs during its lifetime!

Shingles

Shingles are one of the most widely used roof coverings in both residential and commercial roof projects.

During Loadmaster’s formative days we were often asked, “Do you have anything for asphalt shingle roofs?” Our engineers answered that request with the development of a nailable roof deck system designed especially for shingles.

Our inorganic, fire-resistant roof assembly can overcome many of the problems experienced with a shingled roof. By eliminating the wood framing that is typical in many commercial and educational projects, Loadmaster's roof deck is less expensive than a wood designed roof deck where insulation is required in the assembly, and when a 3-tab asphalt shingle is applied over Loadmaster’s Nailable Surface, the lifespan of the shingles may be extended up to 31years!

This makes Loadmaster the best roof deck option for asphalt shingles.

Standing Seam

Standing seam roof coverings are a viable option for roofs meant to last a lifetime, and Loadmaster’s inorganic roof decks provide the high performance base to support it.

Our inorganic composition and flexibility of design makes Loadmaster a natural choice to work with standing seam roof assemblies. When paired with our roof deck, the roof covering has proven to last longer than two conventional standing seam roof coverings and has withstood countless hurricanes throughout the coastal states with no wind failures recorded.

Standing seam & Loadmaster together makes the strongest combination!

Tile and Slate

Tile and slate are inorganic, permanent roof coverings that are mechanically attached to the supporting roof deck construction using either nails or screws.

Loadmaster provides a superior inorganic, fire resistant base for both tile and slate. Our Terminator technology has omitted the wood blocking and wood screws typically used at terminations and transitions and replaced them with galvanized steel and steel screws to ensure a strong connection with the roof deck.

This advancement provides a longer lasting, wind resistant installation that is highly effective against extreme weather which lasts for many, many years!
